September 14th -- First meeting of the new guild year!

Welcome back---hope you had a great summer! Our theme for September is getting back into the sewing room, and how do you do that if your creative mojo is stymied? What feeds our creativity, how do we nurture that spark that is sometimes small or refuses to light? MOLLY DIANA is an art therapist who works and teaches at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. Her lecture topic is BEING IN YOUR CREATIVE FLOW.

--->>Last February we lost a longtime GLHQ member, Diane McDonald.  She was a prolific quilter.  Her family has donated all of her stash to be sold at our September guild meeting.  All proceeds will go to Forgotten Harvest, her charity of  choice.  Cash or checks to Forgotten Harvest will be accepted.

Workshops for the 2017-18 guild year are nearly full!!!

EXCITING NEWS !!!  Due to popular demand a SECOND class has been added for Mary Fons!!!

1,000 Pyramids is a classic quilt pattern.  You will learn how to use a

60 degree ruler to make cutting fast & easy, and also about color,

value  & placement in this wonderful pattern. Mary's classes are

primarily technique classes, so you will bring enough fabric to play

with, and make a few blocks in class.  And have a LOT of fun!  This class will be

held on Friday, January 12, 2018.
