March 14th -- Christa Watson
"How Do I Quilt It?"

Christa's secret to successful quilting is in the planning and preparation. She’ll guide us through the steps she takes to make each quilting experience fun and stress free. Once we see her methods, we’ll feel empowered to quilt our own quilts! Learn how she bastes her quilts, makes a quilting plan, chooses thread colors, divides and conquers each task, and applies rich texture with little to no marking of the quilt.

Christa has been sharing her love of quilting for over 20 years, teaching others to enjoy every part of the quilt-making process. Her quilting life changed for the better in 2013 when she discovered her passion for modern quilts and combined it with her style of “perfectly imperfect” machine quilting.

In addition to three published books, Benartex fabric lines, and many patterns, Christa is also a very busy wife and mother, and we are fortunate to welcome her to GLHQ.

When I asked what they needed they said they could use snack packs like: granola bars, small packs of Cheez-its, fruit snacks, etc. NO Nuts please. They need coffee packs and K-cups (coffee, tea, hot chocolate). Hand and body lotions would be nice (full size). Toddlers clothes in any size would be appreciated.
